“His sound and intonation is perfect. He should be very proud"
Chris Dean (MD / Syd Lawrence Orchestra)
“I think it's an exceptional work, with great fluidity and inventiveness. I thoroughly enjoyed the ebbs and flows, the guitar balancing superbly with the orchestral accompaniment. It is a mixture of beautiful serene music, juxtaposed with lively, catchy Spanish dance music. Bravo!"
Caroline Brown / The Hanover Band
“But I now humbly recant my doubts and offer two old sayings as part of my penance: “You can’t judge a book by it’s cover” and “What’s in a name?” Because what we have here is an utterly charming and nicely played disc of, yes, mostly calming, “laid back” classical favorites, including three by Tárrega, the seemingly inescapable Pachelbel Canon, the requisite foray into Bach, and even a low-key reading of Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5. But also here are lovely interpretations of two of Leo Brouwer’s more melodic and accessible offerings (Un Dia de Noviembre is fast approaching classical “standard” status), and a pair of fine Brazilian pieces: the bouncy, uptempo Sons de Carrilhōes, and the always-affecting Manhã de Carnaval"
Blair Jackson / Classical guitarist magazine

David Courtney / Song writer / Producer
“Fabulous guitar playing and beautiful production"
Richard Barret / Guitarist magazine
“One of the foremost musicians of the genre"
Alix Norman / Cyprus Mail
“Mr Hussey plays to a very high level with keen accuracy. The repertoire choices and arrangements he makes show great taste and musical knowledge. He exhudes confidence and commands attention from the listener. I have enjoyed hearing him and look forward to keeping up with his career progress"
Tom Suha / Lead violinist of Symphoniacs - Universal Music
“Mark skillfully blends his musical influences into his own style delivered with great passion, musicality and stunning sound. It's always a pleasure and privilage working with him on stage or in the studio"
Vinzenz Benjamin / Go West
“I love the start of the concerto. How it invites you straight in. His personality and excellent feel for music shines through from the start. I'm engaged from bar to bar by a mix of eagerly provoked emotions ranging from one side of the spectrum to the other. The impressive blend of old and new makes me feel at home, thinking about past holidays I have been on and future adventures I'm planning. At one point I was remembering walking the streets of Spain with a past lover then immediately rushed onto dancing in the evening with sangria under the setting sun. The piece tells an individual story thats not predictable like so many other pieces you hear. At points i feel like I'm reading an adventure novel with cliff hangers around every corner eager to hear what comes next. A well balanced, exciting, romantic yet vigorous display of instrumental colour"
Jon Moses / Vocalist / Superstar finalist
