An all-round performer, Mark is a well known electric, acoustic and classical guitarist who has built his reputation on engaging audiences worldwide with his wide ranging guitar skills. With influences ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Jerry Reed and from Joe Pass to Paco de Lucia, Mark has become a force in guitar communities. His playing has been described as world class with Acoustic Magazine dubbing his debut album 'Concierto de los Sueńos' as ‘Simply Stunning’ and Classical Guitarist Magazine dubbing the album 'Laid Back' as "Utterly charming". Chris Dean, MD of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra recently described his execution on guitar as creating 'perfect sound'.
For over 10 years during his University years Mark was the MD of the KitCat club band in Oxford and London in which he worked with hundreds of aspiring vocalists. He is affectionately known as Mark Blues amougst his musical friends, many of which went on to work with numerous major artists after the KitCat years. During this time Marks passion for blues was evident in his musical releases such as ‘My Girl’ and ‘Some People’.
As well as his personal musical endeavours he has supported the development of several commercial artists paving the way to feature them on regional radio stations and television.
Today Mark focusses his efforts mainly in the classical, jazz and flamenco genres but occasionally picks up the electric guitar for a little obligatory showboating in his show Legends of Guitar
